Advect Group’s investment professionals and advisory board members collectively have over a century of functional experience in global private equity, finance, multi-national company operations and corporate law. Members of the Advect team have worked for some of the world’s largest and most recognized firms, managed branches and operations on several continents and represented clients in numerous cross-border transactions. Our team’s experience has provided opportunities to work with companies ranging from publicly traded Fortune 500 firms to entrepreneurial start-ups.

Frank A. Biggio
Frank Biggio co-founded Advect in 2010. Mr. Biggio has more than 12 years of experience in corporate/transactional law, banking, and government and international relations. Prior to founding Advect, Mr. Biggio was a corporate vice president at a major financial institution’s New York City headquarters and an attorney at two global law firms. His transactional experience ranges from advising start-up companies to providing detailed guidance for some of the world’s largest institutional investors, including sovereign wealth funds in the consumation of multi-billion dollar investments. Additionally, Mr. Biggio has managed the trust and custody accounts of several multi-national companies, developing an understanding of their business and investment objectives and a close working relationship with the management and boards of directors of such companies. Mr. Biggio graduated from Georgetown University Law School with a Master of Laws, from Case Western Reserve University with a JD/MBA, and from Denison University with a BA. Prior to attending law school, he served in the U.S. Marine Corps. Mr. Biggio is a licensed attorney in New York State, Washington, D.C.
Peter Ernst
Peter Ernst co-founded Advect in 2010. Mr. Ernst has more than 15 years of experience in multi-national company management and consulting. Prior to founding Advect, Mr. Ernst held a wide range of functional roles including logistics management, sales, customer service, human resources, global operations and broadcast meteorology while working at companies in the technology innovation and logistics management sectors. Mr. Ernst graduated from Goizueta Business School at Emory University with an MBA. Prior to attending Goizueta Business School at Emory University, he graduated from Vanderbilt University with a BA with honors in English. Mr. Ernst received a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification from Brambles.
Investment Advisory Committee
Advect Group is privileged to have an advisory committee comprised of experienced industry professionals who provide insight into the acquisitions, financings and dispositions of the funds under management. Our investment advisory committee includes:
- A former senior executive of a cornerstone blue-chip Fortune 100 company, who was responsible for approximately $200 billion under management for clients, and the firm’s pension fund, 401K plans, and its insurance companies, as well as more than 200 external institutional clients, and who is currently a senior advisor to a $20 billion alternative asset manager and a West Coast-based private equity firm;
- A senior executive with a major family entertainment business focused in the southwest United States, who has also held executive positions in marketing and finance at The Coca-Cola Company and an Atlanta-based venture capital firm;
- An entrepreneurial innovator whose foresight, determination and financial backing resulted in launching some of the most recognized corporate brands in the world and who now leads a small investment firm focused on start-up companies in the medical field, and who has played a leading role in the New York Stock Exchange’s governance and electronic trading platforms; and
- A former managing partner of one of the world’s leading law firms who is widely regarded as being one of the principal innovators in the field of private equity management, literally ‘present at the creation’ of the structuring and organization of the documents and formation guidelines that have become common place in the field.
